We invite you to help support the Huntington Beach Police Department’s commitment to excellence by contributing to the establishment of its new training center. The Huntington Beach Police and Community Foundation (HBPCF) is spearheading a fundraising campaign to complete the construction of the Huntington Beach Police Training Facility by the beginning of Spring. This collaborative effort among the City of Huntington Beach, the Huntington Beach Police Department, and the HBPCF will provide a permanent and advanced training center for the K9 team, SWAT, and Patrol Units.

The need for a dedicated training facility became apparent when the land previously used by the HBPD K9 team, generously provided by The Boeing Company, was sold. The removal of the training turf and equipment storage emphasized the necessity for a permanent location. Construction is already underway, with the completion of the K9 field featuring a shade structure, lighting, turf, and various obstacles. This initial progress marks the first step towards establishing a cutting-edge facility to significantly enhance joint OPS training between different units.

To propel the project further, the HBPCF is seeking additional funding for the upcoming phases:

  • Simunition Shoot House (a simulated environment for realistic scenarios)
  • Asphalt for parking
  • Fencing
  • Dog kennels
  • Office with two workstations
